You know I jumped on the Klout bandwagon when it first came out and thought it was interesting. Then there was the reconfiguration, and the hue and cry over this reconfiguration. When that was followed by their refusal to disclose how they got their numbers, I kinda stopped participating as much. I noticed others dropped off to in handing out their K+s and such. I guess I'm taking a wait and see attitude toward Klout.

I deleted my Klout account after the algorithm change. I was holding steady around a 63 for quite a while. I didn't change my behaviors but, my score was tanking regardless of whether I was online or not. And the topics it said I was influential about were insane... "Justin Bieber?" and "Reading, Pennsylvania?" I can't stand The Biebs and never talk about him online... and I live in AL and have never been to Reading! It made no sense.

ugh...I am so mad at klout. I do about the same thing EVERY day. Once I was silent all day only to go look at Klout the next day and my score was HIGHER. It keeps falling, falling, falling yet I am not doing anything different. Just for you I am going to look real fast...Okay..apparently it's 57...The graph looks like a freaking Roller Coaster though. No one does the +K anymore on my list anyways so I don't know how much it matters? I miss the perks though. I'm rambling...

Klout is like a cleaned up version of who's hot and who's not. Didn't Mark Z. & his college cohorts do something like that before launching Facebook? I give Klout when I'm procrastinating and it's certainly fun to make fun of the topics. For a while I was influential in ducks and money. Go figure.

A few months back a friend and I did a little Klout test to see if we could make her influential in tiaras. We conversed on Twitter about tiaras, she linked to a column she wrote about tiaras and we even covered the topic on Facebook. No go. Klout evidently doesn't think tiaras are a legitimate topic. It's designers obviously haven't watched much reality T.V.

I think Klout is insane. I can't remember the last time I checked it. Although I do love receiving it and giving it. It's like when someone gives you a cookie; it's delicious but it doesn't mean they want to marry you. Maybe it just means they made too many cookies and need to give some away before their ass explodes. Maybe this is the worst Klout analogy ever.
