October is really an opportune time to go to Paris. The tourist prime time season is basically over by the end of September so the crowds are a bit more tolerable. The weather there is comparable to midwest weather in the US however, their October seems to be a bit warmer and if you're lucky, you will catch a few of the last beautiful days to see all the sites like we did.
