A Valentine to Remember

There is something very magical about the Daddy Daughter Dance that captivates my daughter every year.  She gets so excited to be all dressed up and going on her big date with daddy.  This year she kept referring to it as the prom - little does she know about taking daddys to prom..I'm really okay with that and actually wouldn't mind keeping it this way forever..sniff

You can tell by the look in her eyes...

I'm linked up with Galit and Alison again this month for their awesome Memories Captured linky which I love!  It's so much fun swooning, come join us!

Lovely! Our little girl told us today over dinner that a boy asked her to be his girlfriend (she's actually not that little anymore, almost 15)... you can imagine the look on my husband's face :)

Look at that FACE. You captured her adoration so well. (I love your husband's red shirt, too.) My daughter is a Daddy's girl, too. So cute that she calls it prom.

Oh my goodness! This is just too precious! It's one of those photos that you know she'll treasure someday when she gets older. How very lucky of her to have this. Just wonderful!

Thanks Kristen - I really want to hit the pause button right now for about oh forever

Yikes! How did he react? I can't say I'm looking forward to that day..time flies too fast fun or not.

She was watching him do his tie, very sweet moment

I don't even want to think about those days, I keep getting flashes of them and that's enough for me right now..I'm hoping these pictures will stop time just for a moment

Thanks Janice. I'm glad I have a place to keep them!

What a beautiful tradition. I didn't have that with my Dad and people here don't do it either. And your girl with her Dad, and the way she looks in the second pic: swoon, she's adoring him. But isn't it also the other way round, the mom is a boys first love? That would make me so proud.

So sweet. My girls will never get to experience this and I wish they would be able to. I love seeing all of these photos going around of all the recent Daddy Daughter Dances.

This is fun! I love when my husband takes our girls out for a Daddy and Daughter night out.

He took it pretty well, especially after I showed him a pic of the boy on Facebook. He's a little geek, just like my daughter, we're confident it'll be pretty innocent ;)

Awww. I remember going to Daddy Daughter dances. This makes me look forward to when my husband gets to do that with our little one!

CoffeeLovinMom said...

I think it's true both ways..she's really a daddy's girl so much that she will be the one out fishing before my son.

CoffeeLovinMom said...

I would love for them to do it more often!

CoffeeLovinMom said...

Thanks Kate - they had a great time!

CoffeeLovinMom said...

She loves it so much right now, I had to capture it

I'm sorry Amber

What wonderful memories - kind of makes me wish we had something like that here for my daughters. My husband would probably hate it though :) She looks beautiful!
