Once Upon a Time...

Once upon a time I had a job..
It took me places...
Like castles in Germany on the Mosel River....

I'm linked up with Galit and Alison for their monthly Memories Captured.

What memory would you most like to capture?

I have all these great travel pictures too stuffed in an album somewhere. That time where I traveled to far away lands (diaper bag free) seem so far away! I'm feeling encouraged by this picture to go and dig out those albums to relive those memories just a bit and MAYBE inspire a new trip.

New reader, love your about page, so funny. My husband used to travel the world for business, he doesn't miss it. But it was always fun to see the pictures and sample the treats.

How great that we both chose the same title but went a totally different way with it. Your photo is beautiful!

And now you're making me really curious, what kind of job were you doing in a castle on the Mosel? Were you working as a tourist guide?

CoffeeLovinMom said...

The job itself wasn't as good as the perks! Thanks!

CoffeeLovinMom said...

Absolutely! Get to Europe if you can swing it!

CoffeeLovinMom said...

It was definitely a glimpse on how the other half lives..

CoffeeLovinMom said...

That was called the money shot...awesome views!

CoffeeLovinMom said...

This was about the coolest trip we took - I never would have guessed we would see so many countless vineyards in Germany

CoffeeLovinMom said...

Can't wait to see yours!

CoffeeLovinMom said...

I would like to go back there - what a neat town it was!

CoffeeLovinMom said...

I worked for a lady who specialized in European barge cruises on small rivers and canals - it was a great 6 years and 3 trips!

CoffeeLovinMom said...

I was amazed by the beauty in Germany - I believe this is Cochem, very cute town and they had batteries there. I will have to show the actual castle...some beautiful storybook scenery..we were sans kids unlike your European adventures..

CoffeeLovinMom said...

Oh I hope you do dig them out! It was nice going through mine again - this was from 2007 on the 4th of July

CoffeeLovinMom said...

I was an office manager for a travel agent who specialized in barge trips on small rivers and canals..she sent each employee so we would know what we were talking about to clients - it was really a great experience I felt lucky to have

CoffeeLovinMom said...

Yes - it really did just that too, we went to Ireland and France on other trips..

CoffeeLovinMom said...

I would go again if given the chance, my husband not so much - I think he's a little nervous about the whole travel scene

CoffeeLovinMom said...

Thanks for checking it out Kristen - yours was beautiful too :)

CoffeeLovinMom said...

Thanks lady!

CoffeeLovinMom said...

Thank you!

CoffeeLovinMom said...

You are so close - it really was a glimpse on how the other half live..my boss ran her own travel agency that specializes in barge cruising on small waterways in Europe. Mostly retired rich people went or took their families - she sent the employees for the knowledge of having been there, seeing the hotels and sights and tasting the cuisine which was a little more than my husband (the meat and potato king) could handle

What an AWESOME job! Would you ever go back to it (once the kids are grown?)

What a gorgeous shot!

CoffeeLovinMom said...

I would love to go back! I may have to make it a girl's thing - the husband has always been a hesitant traveler.

CoffeeLovinMom said...

Thanks Susan - it was a great job..

CoffeeLovinMom said...

The view of royalty

CoffeeLovinMom said...

Yes, that was a fun excursion and the view was really breathtaking - the picture can't do it justice..

CoffeeLovinMom said...

That was my money shot for that trip - I only came back with 700 pics and about 5 my boss would like/use..

CoffeeLovinMom said...

The picture doesn't even do justice to the beauty!

Tayarra Sharp said...

Wow! Beautiful. Sounds like a great opportunity to see once in a lifetime sights.

Missy | Literal Mom said...

Goodness, gracious. Look at that view. Just beautiful.

CoffeeLovinMom said...

That whole job was an opportunity - definitely once in a lifetime!

CoffeeLovinMom said...

It really still takes my breath away to see some of the pics
