Now I'm not gonna lie because I'm giving you the REAL story here - I don't exactly love these workouts and some 20 seconds are much longer than others depending on what exercise you are doing. I could probably do a few more seconds of planks where with fast feet, I'm already looking for the time to be up after about the first 8 seconds.
The cardio sets make us all breathe hard and sweat and I moan and groan - probably more than I should but sometimes I think it helps me get through it. I think the real reason for this not loving thing is because it is FULL intensity where I am used to doing things half-assed. I never did things to my full extent when I was working out at the gym - I'll admit that I'm a lazy exerciser but I will tell you this: this program pretty much prohibits you from being lazy! The whole theory is to work out at your hardest at your own level but for those 20 seconds to give it everything you have so there's no room for stopping.
Monday we did diamond push-ups which I have never even thought about attempting before and I only did 9 in 20 seconds...I did what I could do and I know that I will be able to do more next time. I started out only doing 13 regular push-ups in 20 seconds and have worked my way up to 18 and once even 20!
I will also tell you this: after 15 days of this workout program, I am feeling a difference in the way I stand and the way I look. I feel stronger and am able to do more reps each time we do an exercise, so there's the proof in the pudding. Plus it's over so quick even though those 20 seconds can seem long, it's not been more than 10 minutes so far which beats an hour at the gym any old day! My husband has lost 3 pounds already - in 15 workouts. I will be measuring and weighing in on Friday and I have a feeling I will be pleased with the results so far.
