10 Things - From Life's Little Instruction Book

Somewhere over the years I acquired a perfect book called:
Life's Little Instruction Book by H. Jackson Brown, Jr.
I have torn some pages out and placed them in places like
"Leave things just a little better than you found it..."

Here are 10 little things you already know but it's always good to have a reminder!

  1. Never give up on anybody - miracles happen everyday.
  2. Surprise loved ones with unexpected gifts.
  3. Stop blaming others, take responsibility for every area of your life.
  4. Make the best of bad situations.
  5. Live so that when your children think of fairness, caring and integrity, they think of you.
  6. Remember that all news is baised.
  7. Be brave - Even if you're not, pretend to be.  No one can tell the difference.
  8. Whistle.
  9. Hug your children after you discipline them.
  10. Even if you're financially well-to-do, have your children earn and pay part of their college tuition.

I would like to share these a little more often..there's over 500 in the book - at 10 at a time, this should become a regular spot..hope you come back for more!

I love this post!! I have this little book too - you've inspired me to go dig it out of the bookshelf for a little inspiration :)

These are great!

Sidenote: recently I redid my blog design and then when I visited your site noticed a big "whoops!". I had a coffee drinking avatar very similar to yours! (must have been subliminal because I so enjoy your blog!). anyway, faux pas corrected - image now removed and replaced with a banner I had been working on anyway.
Sorry about that -- must drink more coffee to ensure future mishaps avoided :)
