52 Weeks of Happiness - Week 5: Public Enemies

Welcome to another week of HAPPINESS!!
The following coming to you compliments of Public Enemies - the Dillinger movie, starring Johnny Depp filmed in Chicago.

I met no stars while taking these pictures, the guards wouldn't let anyone down the block. Still, it was very neat to see the streets of Chicago revamped to look like it did in the 1930's. Maybe I will make these black and white for authenticity.

HAVE A GREAT TUESDAY!!

Nice shots. They would look great in black and white.

Very cool! They would look good in B and W... but I think the color gives them an interesting twist.

How cool is that! I would've loved to been there for the shooting too, to see your town all decked out in an "era" not your own! The closest thing to filming where I live was "The Punisher" (filmed in Tampa). Hubby and I love to watch it (not because it's a good movie by any stretch - LOL) we love to say, oh, that's the so-n-so building, or that's gotta be Ybor City...etc.

Thanks for visiting and following sweetjeanette.com. I'm totally followin' ya right back!

I am in LOVE with the 30's era. More especially - the clothes! People back then tended to dress so stylishly, they looked fabulous! No pants-hanging-just-under-the-butt look for them, they also had their hair done perfectly. Of course, I would look like a bag lady by their standards (5 kids, slippers are my best friend and doing my hair? HA!) But I still envy that period. Wonderful photos!

Those are great! Are you and extra for the shoot?

Thanks for the compliments! I was not an extra, just a walker on my normal route from the train to where I used to work downtown..very cool to see the same old streets you pass everyday all decked out for sure and there were others I haven't shared yet so stay tuned if you want!
Thanks again!
