JULY 27 2004

Where has the time gone???

My babies aren't babies anymore, they are 6 and 8!
Six and Eight
FIRST GRADE AND THIRD GRADE this year

We are talking BIG time now..no more Kindergarten Baby stuff
She is having her first non-family sleepover with her friend tonight
SNIFF
It seems like just yesterday she was bald under this bonnet strapped in the swing when today she's the tan girl with flowy hair doing flips over the top bar of our swingset and having big girl sleepovers!

I'm just happy she still believes - adamantly and often verbally - that she will live with us forever because she would never want to leave us..once this nicey nice stage ends, who knows what we'll be in for! I'm holding onto that as long as possible!

I remember thinking about this back when they were both little, suffering through the stages of P's including in no particular order puke, potty and poop just imagining what they would be like at this age and POOF..here we are!

I can't believe how fast time has already gone and to fathom how fast it will continue to go, feeling it getting faster by the day...sometimes I get a little verklempt just to think about it.

All my 'little' cousins now have babies of their own now and my nieces and nephews are becoming teenagers, driving and dating, getting ready to graduate and doing things I remember getting in trouble for and while I'm off in my imaginary high school la la land, I am brought back to reality - ever so harshly slightly by my 20 year high school anniversary that it really is TWENTY years later...

Feels like some time continuum....
PLEASE..
Help me find the flux capacitor!!!!

what a beautiful baby-Happy Birthday-six is so big. It's like, practically, ten. (and she'll be there before you know it, right?)
