Nestle Toll House Cookies - Something I Just Tried

I am by no means a baker although after watching my friend Paula whip up some cakes last weekend it made me think I might be able to. In any case, I took the lazy way out and bought the tub of premade cookie dough by Nestle and the kids loves helping scoop the dough and put it on the baking sheet. Much less of a mess than mixing homemade cookies would have been.

The end result looked the same as homemade...

And they tasted pretty close - I would have had to also have a homemade one in hand to compare. My daughter even mentioned that the cookies were so good, she wanted to call Grandma Iowa (my grandmother) and give her the recipe so she could make them next time we visited.

I explained that there was really no recipe to share and her response was "But still mom, she needs to know how to make these they are so good!"

The instructions said it would make 3 dozen cookies. We only used half and got 25 so will be able to get about 50 instead of 36. Looking at these pictures make me want to bake the rest.
I must put a pot of coffee on for it!
See you later!

I never get as many cookies out of it as the package says..."someone" always eats the dough as she bakes.
