This is the most exciting thing I think I've done here about the interwebs since I started blogging in January!

Allow me to introduce myself..My name is Amy and I just started blogging in January to let off a little steam about my life - so far it's been a great outlet. I am a mother of an 8 year old son and a daughter who is 5 (going on 15) and have been married for almost 10 years! I think I have been in love with coffee at least three times as long as that...sorry honey! I am a sarcastic, sometimes energetic blogger and love to give my opinions about what's going on in my world and the rest of the world. I am candid and still wet behind the ears, a bit overwhelmed by this great new world of blog I am discovering!


I live in Lowell, IN and work in downtown Chicago part-time which is why I mention a part-time job and a full-time commute in my profile. I certainly wouldn't want to make that drive 5 days a week! I enjoy my job working on cruise documents and changing our company website. I really kind of "lucked" into this job - we always joke that I was hired based on my gift-wrapping ability - and it has given me the skills to be able to blog and opportunities to go to Ireland and Germany which were both dreams come true. Thank you job!

I am not by any means a professional writer or professional anything for that matter. I do feel that writing is my best form of communication as it's better than answering the phone!

I just started this week doing the Post-It Tuesday with Supahmommy which is great fun! I also do a regular Saturday Post called "Saturday Shorts" where I sit in my shorts when possible and give you a short blurb with a pic similar to a Wordless Wednesday post. I do try and blog at least once everyday and a couple to three times on the days I have off.

My blog does not really have a purpose or a theme for that matter (YET, reminder, I am just getting started) other than being an outlet for me and being what I hope to be somewhat entertaining for my readers. I do plan to eventually find out more about product reviews and such to make my blog more open for new readers.

So I joined this party basically to get my blog out there and viewed by people other than my immediate family and friends and maybe gain some fans, followers and friends along the way! What a GREAT networking outlet! I can't tell you how excited I am to be a part of this party!

I don't really have my eye on any prize on the list. The biggest prize for me would be just the opportunity to make new friends at the party! I look forward to meeting other partiers! Thank you to 5 Minutes for Mom for putting this on!
